Plenty of opportunities
The centrally located circular hall provides access to the various rooms and the upper floors.
On the ground floor, there is a charming room (approximately 110 m²) with bamboo flooring, excellent acoustics, and a professional sound system. Depending on the activity, the room can be set up with tables and chairs, a large flat-screen TV, and flip charts, or with premium yoga and meditation equipment. The room also features a beautiful Yamaha C3 grand piano.

The lounge offers plenty of space to retreat with a book, or just meet others, sitting by the wood-burning stove.
The conservatory is a nice intimate space overlooking the pond and can be used for individual conversations or to dream away in the sun.

18 hotel rooms
Comfortable and sustainable accommodation
Our retreat center has 18 spacious hotel rooms. All rooms have a modern private bathroom.
In total, The Land of Now has an overnight capacity of 28 people.
The rooms are furnished with luxury box springs and offer you a comfortable night’s sleep.
All our box springs, mattresses, comforters and pillows fully meet the Green Key standard and are produced entirely environmentally friendly, CO2 neutral and toxin free. We are pleased to offer you a sustainable experience at The Land of Now and hope to inspire you.
Pre-night

Since many of our guests come from far away, it may be nice to arrive an evening earlier.
Depending on the program you follow, and if staffing permits, it is usually possible to book a pre-night stay the night before your program starts.

The park-like garden offers plenty of opportunities to wander around and find a quiet spot to sit together or meditate on your own. The richly vegetated pond adjacent to the property is a favorite spot for a tea break. Be inspired by nature, or simply enjoy the outdoors.
The various outdoor spots lend themselves well to outdoor activities.

Discover
Enjoy the many birds that perch in the garden. As many as 40 species can regularly be discovered in a single day.
And if you’re really lucky you might see a deer, hare or even a fox.

Our restaurant kitchen
With The taste of Now, our retreat restaurant brings together an inspiring vision of food, taste and ethics.
With recipes and menus designed by Chef Juliette Reniers, we’ll delight you with flavor and provide not only delicious meals, but also “food for the soul.” We develop and prepare all our menus and products ourselves, from baked goods to bonbons, from vegetable dishes to desserts.
We use fresh, high-quality ingredients, mostly organic, locally sourced, and fair trade. Whole ingredients and vegetables take center stage in a refined palette of flavors, where we inspire you with surprising dishes.

Bread from our own bakery
Our sourdough bread also comes from our own bakery and we bake with Groninger grains.
Long fermentation (and attention) is the silent force behind our breads. It gives flavor room to develop and promotes digestibility.

In our intimate boutique, we offer our own designer line and hand-forged jewelry. We also have a nice assortment of Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda products. You can find our The Land of Now teas, our hand-screened shirts and tank tops and exclusive jewelry, among others. We are also a dealer of Meinl Sonic Energy musical instruments.

Nothing beats Groningen
The province of Groningen, with the cleanest air in our country, is a hidden gem in the Northern Netherlands. Here you will still find space and wide views of beautiful nature. It is also the place for positive growth. Pioneers of all kinds have their roots in Groningen.
Here you can relax and come alive.
Nearby
The Land of Now (Siddeburen) is located near some wonderful biking and hiking routes. Several routes take you through beautiful spots of the Groningen countryside.
At the beautiful Fraeylemaborg estate with the Slochterbos you can take a walk, have a cup of tea/coffee or visit the current exhibition in the coach house. The Schildmeer is nearby and popular in summer for a dip in the water, in winter for a crackling ice skating trip. ‘t Special Roegwold is well worth a visit with a boardwalk across the water, the reed marshes, peat pools and grasslands full of herbs. You’ll find many water birds, from spoonbill to bittern.
The medieval town of Appingedam is also a short distance away and well worth a visit, with its famous hanging kitchens and charming streets. Fancy some more liveliness? Groningen-city, with its cafes, stores and the Groninger Museum, is easily accessible.
Want to ride a bike? The Land of Now has three regular bikes and one electric bike that can be used for free.

Aan de zijde van het privé-woonhuis vind je ook het professionele kunstenaarsatelier van Juliette & Frank. In het benedenatelier werken we o.a. met zeefdruk, goudsmeden en keramiek. In het bovenatelier vind je fotografie, teken- en schilderkunst en ontwerpstudio.
