Where it
begins.
Retreat & Training location
An inspiring place for connection and wonder, a place where time slows down, and above all, a place that’s full of life.
A place that combines personal and exclusive smallness with the grandeur of space.
A place that inspires, amazes and encourages the creation of new realities.
A living place that provides space for essence.
A place for the pioneer in each individual.
How The Land of Now began
Where wonder moves
Juliette & Frank have diverse backgrounds centered on the power of wonder and connection as a means of fostering personal and social development.
The Beginning: Artists in action
In addition to their professional activities in the art and design world, Juliette & Frank have facilitated various meetings, conferences, internal communication initiatives, and leadership training programs through their own meeting design and training agency. These unconventional programs create an experience where wonder and a fresh perspective on reality give participants the space to grow and find inspiration.
Social engagement
Their passion for philosophical and psychological exploration led them to facilitate practical, socially engaged, and in-depth retreats, workshops, and individual therapeutic programs throughout the Netherlands and beyond.
Space for the essentials
With the completion of our own retreat center and training location in 2016, a long-cherished dream came true:
—a place that literally offers space for what truly matters.
A place close to life.

For the pioneer in each individual.

Juliette Reniers
Juliette strips things down to their essence and inspires you to look beyond truths and fixed structures. From a young age, she has always been interested in philosophical and social issues. Her teenage years led her to become a professional artist and designer, giving her opportunities to express those aspects of life that go beyond words.
In addition to her ongoing study of philosophy and Western psychology, she has studied, among other things, ancient wisdom traditions, authentic yoga traditions, yoga therapy, trauma-sensitive yoga, and Ayurvedic medicine in depth (therapy, pharmacology, diagnosis, etc.). She combines this knowledge with insights from modern science, and her teachings offer a clear path through authentic yoga and Ayurveda for life today.
As a counselor and therapist, she has guided many people on an individual basis through important life questions and in the practice of autonomous critical thinking. For over 15 years, she has been leading retreats and workshops focused on developing (greater) self-direction, resilience, and inner stability.
Juliette is also a recipe and product developer and the head chef at our retreat restaurant, The Taste of Now, which brings together an inspiring vision of food, flavor, and ethics.
Juliette is an artist in everything she does. She plays the cello and, together with Frank (piano), brings music and sound together in The Sound of Now. In language and poetry, too, she seeks what lies beyond words.
The same love for life shines through in what she creates and shares. It goes beyond the pursuit of an ideal; it is a direct and intimate relationship with life in all its simplicity.

Frank Eijkelkamp
Frank studied classical music and became a pianist, and from an early age he felt a desire to guide people in their personal development.
As a meeting designer and facilitator, he helped people and organizations experience the power of connection and wonder. His meetings had a human touch and a lasting impact, and his sense of composition and rhythm was a recurring theme in them.
Yoga also found its way into his life, and music serves as a common thread throughout the retreats he leads with Juliette.
What Frank wants you to experience is a connection with life. Whether that’s during a workshop or retreat, or over a cup of tea: the essence of each individual is at the heart of it all.
Philosophical – Optimistic – Inspirational
